The Jazz series is some of Matisse’s best work. The original series was from 1947 and was in an edition of 250. This lithograph comes from a facsimile of the original works from 2004 and comes in an edition of 1500.
The original lithographs from 1947 are impossible to get hold of and collectors tend to go for these are they are the best there is since the originals. Printed in amazing colour, hese really are beautiful. This lithograph was also printed by Mourlot and Ferreri, Paris, published by Éditions Anthèse, Paris, on Lana Royal paper.
